Learning to Build Relationships Through Sales

During my summer internship with Greatness Wins, I had the opportunity to represent the brand at a golf event. One experience that stood out to me was running the company’s tent near the first tee and talking with golfers about the products.

Situation

I was helping Greatness Wins introduce its golf apparel to people attending the event. I had the opportunity to interact directly with golfers and show them the newest collection.

Task

My job was to represent the brand professionally, explain the products, and help people become more familiar with Greatness Wins.

Action

I talked with golfers, showed them different outfits, answered questions, and listened to their feedback. I tried to make each conversation feel natural instead of just pushing a product.

Result

The experience helped me become more comfortable speaking with potential customers and representing a business. I also gathered feedback that could help the company better understand what golfers liked about the collection.

What I learned

I learned that sales is not just about trying to sell something. It’s also about listening, communicating, and building relationships. I can use those skills in future opportunities in sports business and marketing.
